| 2006 Victor Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon |
Wine Description: The wine exhibits complex aromatics of blackcurrant, spearmint, earthy elements and all-spice. It has full varietal palate with fine-grained lengthy tannins and subtle vanillin underlay. Despite the flavour intensity, it is a structured and elegant wine. There is none of the often herbaceous character in this wine (nor in our other cabernets), as we have focussed on achieving full ripeness in the vineyard. Alcohol 13.7%
Good Food Matches: Any red meat; ripe cheese; terrines; duck; casseroles; pasta.

| 2005 Leopold Reserve Shiraz-Viognier |
Wine Description: Viognier is blended with shiraz to introduce aromatics and “smooth out” the often spicy shiraz character. Viognier adds a honey aromatic to the plummy shiraz character. The cool climate already produces a softer, more elegant shiraz than is normal in Australia. The long ripening period produced grapes and wine of greater intensity than last year. The colour and body are both fuller. The wine will benefit from a “breathing” period, allowing the flavour to open up. Alcohol 15.0%
Good Food Matches: Lamb, roast pork, saute’ veal, pate, antipasto and firm cheeses

| 2004 Captain Starlight Shiraz-Viognier |
Wine Description: The resultant wine is medium weight, with soft complex flavours. It has proved exceptionally popular in the tasting room, especially with people seeking a good “drinking” wine. The colour is bright but not as intense, as a result of the growing conditions and the addition of Viognier. The blend originated in the Rhone Valley (presumably as a result of a past blending mistake), but it is emerging in Australia to meet the demand for wines which can be drunk by themselves (not just with red meat). Alcohol 13.5%
Good Food Matches: Pork (in any way); Chinese and Thai food; lamb; veal; pate; antipasto and firm cheeses – or just by itself.

Wine Description: The blend is soft, silky and slightly spiced. It has good mouth feel and good “length”. The flavour has an attractive plummy quality, allied to dark cherries. Alcohol 13.3%
Good Food Matches: Like the shiraz-viognier, this wine can be drunk easily on its own or with antipasto dishes. It will go well with Asian food dishes, cold meats and rabbit

| 2003 Captain Starlight Cabernet Sauvignon |
Wine Description: The wine has a vibrant red colour, with a bouquet of berries and mint. The palate experiences complex lingering fruit with rich, soft tannins. The softening process has continued in the bottle, giving the wine greater complexity and depth. It is a cool climate cabernet, with greater elegance and fine structure. Alcohol 13.1%
Good Food Matches: Definitely not a barbecued meat wine. It would complement roast rack of lamb, roast venison and beef fillet. It would also complement creamy cheeses (brie, camembert, stilton) and firm cheese with quince paste.
